Yes ,most days ,but with all the add -on's now available it makes hitting the P.C "off" button a real hard deal once you are into it .I Enjoy the Pilotweb sim reviews too !.
Gave up with Flight Sim although instructor urged me to use it some years ago. Found that with only mouse and arrow keys I could not get the aircraft off the ground! Even when on the proper thing at the club and with an instructor to help me the main thing I was good at was crashing! I felt that I was better an flying a real aeroplane than a virtual one.
First possess a joy stick! However, as commented before, even with all the correct mod cons I still did not find it easy and thought that real aircraft were rather easier and more reliable if rather more expensive!
All the time, quite partial to combat flight sims, namely Il2 Sturmovik:Forgotten Battles. I have FS2K2 and often take it for a spin, but I find the navigation a bit tricky as so far as I can tell, there it is nothing in the game other then 'top down view' to help you navigate.
Bought the VFR scenery, bit gutted to find my house reduced to nothing more than half a dozen pixels. Just have to wait to get my PPL and do it properly
Flight sim 2004 is a tool to practice general handling but when it comes to stalls spins and most aerobatic manouvers I find it fairly inaccurate. However, flying with others is great fun when in formation online.
though i do not currently have my computer set up, as soon as it is i will be up and running with MFS 2004! check out that awesome GPS system. take notice all: surclaro.com has a ton of stuff, airlines, cfs aeroplanes, adventures, scenery, etc younameit. have fun...
