Just decieded to start learning.

Hi All,
I have decieded to go for flying lessons and complete my ppl. I have visited a few local clubs/schools. I have decieded on truman aviation at nottingham airport,
There two seater trainers are the tomahawks, I had a sit in one and they seem a good plane,I had a trial lesson else where in a cessna 150, which was good but i think i prefer the tomahawk. The reasons i like nottingham is it seems a really friendy atmosthere, they give discount for block booking flying hours and the strips are used for ther school only so short waiting time for take off.
I have decieded to complete my theory first then have a couple weeks intensive flight training followed by at least 4 lessons a week untill completed. I can save for the 45 hours flying time while i do my theory.
Has anyone done it this way or simullar? And does anyone have any advice for a student about to take his first steps?
Any comments or advice will be greatly recieved.
