New School at Enstone

Just to let you know of a new school started up by my instructor, Ian Hiatt, based at Enstone, Oxfordshire charging a mere £65/hour for a C-150. Surely the best value in the country? This includes all landings at Enstone and his instruction. He has made various arrangements so that he also flys from Wellesbourne and Coventry as needed. He is a very experienced instructor (18 yrs and 4500 hrs), has just got his examiners ticket, and can teach night ratings and IMC.

Give him a ring on 07961 451565 and tell him I sent you!

Ian also teaches for Almat Flying Club at Coventry. More details at www.almatflyingclub.co.uk

I would imagine that your instructor will be swamped with calls now that you have let the cat out of the bag. Nice to know that some people still think it more important to bring new blood to aviation than lining their pockets because, sure as hell, he isn't making much (if any) profit at those prices.

He has had a lot of interest, especially with those whose licences had lapsed. He has now put his rates up to a more realistic £85 an hour. The reduced rate went to the first ten on his books. It is still very reasonable when you consider the other prices charged there and everywhere else for that matter.

Agreed, even £85 an hour is very reasonable when you consider that a lot of schools/clubs are charging that for solo/hire so I hope he has great success
