No VAT for a new Airplane by visiting Denmark - probaly soon will be over by 1.1.2008
Hi,
As some of you probaly know, you can import a new Airplane into Denmark and then to any other country like UK and then pay 0% VAT.
But a new law in Denmark *probaly* stops this now by 1.1.2008. As EU want Denmark to change this, and put a 25% Moms(VAT) fee here in DK also on Airplanes.
So you got to be quick if you want this offer, as you need to have the Airplane in and out of Denmark, before 1.1.2008..
This means that you don't have to pay 17.5% VAT, 19% MwSt and so on, but can legally pay 0% VAT + a fee to a company in Denmark to do the paper work.
For example if you buying something from another EU country, you then normally have to pay the VAT amount from that country, and since VAT is 0% for Airplanes in Denmark, its possible - but ofcause only for EU countrys.
The 0% VAT is btw only for Microlight Class B like CTsw, Eurostar, A22 etc and GA planes like Cessna/Cirrus, also Helicopters and small Jets.. You cannot do it for things like Class A ultralight, Aerobatics airplanes, big airplanes etc.

We have been informed that the law has been extended until 2010.The companies we know about are Opmas and European Flight Technology. It is a good idea to go to them directly to find out the correct information.
