If you think you have been "savagely attacked" you must be VERY precious!   Pprune is a site run (until recently) by professional pilots for professional pilots and as such they can moderate it as they see fit, it is their site, you have no right of free speech as it is their site. If you dislike abiding by their rules, don't go there, it's very simple.    Report

RUDE and BIASED I have ben trying to defend my name against a bunch of hangers on who have voiced there ill informed opinion about an event that took place in the aviation industry. I am barred from defending myself against the threats against my family and myself and my character and this thing has effected every aspect of my life instead of the person who caused it. He has characteristically run away again. Free speech my rear end. I have tried to post my reply's seven times and the police even got involved and they ignored them. These people are controlling and censoring the input into this ridiculous forum that is in my case frequented by ill informed cowards. That is what anonymous is to me a blasted coward. and so are the moderators who play to them. This website should be investigated and controlled by some legal entity instead of leaving it to a bunch of mad men!    Report

We all know its a pessimistic forum and you have zero respect unless you are a 747 captain, however if this is the case just stay away and stop getting so flustered, its just a website. When you make a statement on the www, you stand on a global soapbox whether you want to or not. This website is effecting my life and my business because it has my name attached to it with false accusations and suggestion without any evidence, accurate facts or clarity.I don't visit it, but others do and judge me wrongly by what these people infer I have done or been involved with without ever having met me or spent time with me. They know nothing of my good character and my sense of decency, they know nothing of the truth of this matter, but they feel, having read a couple of passages of nonsense they can judge me and convict me. This causes others to believe these accusations are true and effects whether my future business deals are a success or failure.... And these self appointed "Judges" don't even have the courage to identify themselves, which is why they are so brave. Anonymity is for cowards and PPrune is run by the unscrupulous. This is a very serious situation for me. not just a passing whim.    Report

Delete your posts, never visit again, and keep your chin up to face whatever difficulties these messages may bring to your business. Every business will have someone talking badly about them, just because it's on PPRUNE it doesnt mean your the only one.  Obviously I know nothing about whats going on because you havent said, but maybe delete old posts, delete your account and just forget it even exists.  If you had no input on the website would these posts still have appeared?!     Report

I have had my posts deleted for disagreeing with a mod about a subject. SAAB DASTARD is the worst mod on there. So up himself. I just laugh at his obvious insecurities. I am going to be setting my own forum up soon on private flying and will have mods with some respect!    Report

That has to be the funiest thing I have ever heard of anyone saying from a forum. I agree that they have bad attitudes on there and have never been part of it myself.. In my opinion if that is the attitude of some (not all) of the pilots that fly the public from A to B they should be banned from flying! This type of ego has cost lives in the past and will continue to cost lives into the future.  I suppose they even know better than the instructors that teach them and keep them current, it's a rediculous attitude to have.  I believe everyone can learn something from everyone else no matter what level of experience they're at, be it an ATPL holder flying 74s across the atlantic or PPL flying Cessnas at the weekend..    Report

Im really confused about this with so many airfields and airports either shutting down or trying to be shut down, i cant see why trying to gain support from your members is such a big problem. and there response 7 days off or permanent? You decide. Our way, in forums suitable for parochial UK operations or  clear off. You want to campaign?? Do it on your own site and not with links on  every post you make here.
