PPL Validation

Due to illness I have not flown for 2 years and 7 months. I have a PPL with a TT OF 124hrs. Apart from a medical what else do i need to do to re qualify. Is it simply a case of a trip up with a qualified instructor for a flight test? Is there a time limit on my radio license? any help would be appreciated.

Your radio licence and PPL should still be valid.  You will need to renew your SEP rating.  This will involve a test flight which must be with an examiner.  You should undertake training with an instructor to make sure that you are up to standard to pass the test.

I let mine lapse a few years ago by 4 years! I needed about 3 hours with an instructor just doing circuit work and a few stalls and then a test with an examiner.
