Hi lama,
I am interested in cost sharing, and would be ok to traval to Shoreham if the price is ok. What aircraft are you renting and what are the costs? How much will a check flight cost me?
I have an IMC, 1800 hours, fly from Rochester and rent a PA28-161 at £115 all in. EHMZ and Amiens work out at about £180 each split 2 ways.
I really enjoy visiting places and like nice safe flying with no unwanted exitement.
Hope to hear from you,
all the best,
Malcolm.

Malcolm - would you point me in the direction of where I can hire a PA28 for the price you mentioned. I am currently re-validating my SEP rating and will be after good value hire SE of London - Biggin, Rochester, Redhill etc tetc. Many thanks.
I may be able to help you with this as I am trying to set up a low cost group wih a Cessna 152, If you wish to rent it while I am in the process of getting the group running please contact me.
The price will be IRO £48/hour dry
A and C - where is your 152 based? Any ideas for something with four seats? Thanks
Brian Mills may soon be able to offer a 4 seater.....like a PA-28-160hp Cherokee. It's going for a new C of A in two weeks so wouldn't be ready until September 2009 For group membership it requires an Annual committment paid monthly then £10 per hour plus fuel used .
With an Internet booking system in place ........The Group would need a FUEL Account manager ..... who would get 10% discount on the membership and be wholly responsible for sending out the monthly fuel bills to members ......based on TACHO flying hours... and paying the fuel Account monthly !!!
Further details e-mail: Brianmills@tesco.net 01223 263 951 / 01223 262 951
This would work out at about £100 per flying hour over a 12 month period......and the more hours flown.. the cheaper it gets by the hour !!
Ok Guys to answer a few questions
My aircraft fleet is in a bit of a state of flux at the moment but things should be more firmly fixed after Chrismass.
I now can base the aircraft at Membury (that is on the M4 east of Swindon alongside the services).
The inital group is likely to be on a PA28-180 with fees IRO £75 monthly subscription and £75 per flying hour wet (not chock to chock or tacho).
The plan is also to add access to a C152 on an as avalable basis to PA28 group members, The C152 will normaly be rented to hours builders who will take the aircraft away for 20 hour/1 week blocks.
The cost to hours buliders will be £48/hour dry in a 20 hour block, this is to let the hours builder take that aircraft to an airfield near to home and have exclusive use of the aircraft for the block time agreed.
My customers tell me that the total hourly rate for the package including fuel, landings, parking & VAT is about £78 per log book hour.
The Cessna 152 is avalable now but the PA28 will have to wait for the new hangar to be built, this should happen just after Christmass.
Once Christmass has past and things get back to normal I will be taking advertising in Pilot and PPrune to get this flying group launched in a more formal way.
