Enquire at these flying clubs regarding prices on a Trial Flying Lesson, whats included for the price i.e. duration of the lesson, type of aircraft etc.
Some schools even offer discount packages on your logbook and text books, if you enjoy the lesson and wish to continue learning to flying with them.
Remember not all schools will be perfect for you - if you arn't happy about something, tell us about it and the chaps here will share their vast experience with you. Also, if you are particulary tall or short its worth going along to the club you book a trial lesson with, in advance. This allows the club to find an aircraft that fits you. I have wide-shoulders and a tall frame at around 6ft 2". I have no chance of fitting inside a Cessna 152 with an Instructor, but the Piper Warrior is very comfortable and our shoulders don't even touch.
Hope this helps to get you started - just research the hell out of it for the next week or so.
