Could anyone offer any info or remarks in how much the ppl confuser questions actually reflect the real exam questions ?
I am on Air law first, I have taken in the Trever Thom (few years out of date tho) and know near all the PPL Confuser with a 98% consistent score from the 191 questions.
I'm concerned that I am relying on knowing all the ppl confuser Q & A being the questions in the Exam too much.
Have you used the PPL confuser and taken a (or any) exam ? and were the exam questions ones in the Confuser ?
All help much appreciated as I'm looking to do the exams one a week with full time study if I can.

Just to say I've used the PPL confuser for my exams, and found it incredibly helpful, acheiving scores in the high 90's. It practically covers all existing questions on the papers appearing presently, and the explainations in the back of the book are better than the actual text books themselves!
Also www.airquiz.com is quite a good source for questions, definatly worth the £20 for 2 years subscription.

Is there just 1 ppl confuser book or is there one for each subject?? Also, where can i get a good deal on a ppl confuser??

There are 2 PPL confusers, one for PPL and other for IMC, PPL one covers all subjects including RT Written
I searched for a while but all seemed to be near the same price. I use Adams, guy called Ben is really helpful, they seem to be well priced on most things so I got the likes of maps, pencil, headset etc as unless you have them then going to need them at some point.
Did find the crp1 computer a bit over priced and went the ebay route for mine for a fifth of the price of a new one and they don't change much.

Is a problem with some batches of the confuser, the binding is weak and it splits ending in all the pages falling out, I'm on my 3rd !

The questions are pretty similar but not identical and don't rely on the Confuser to pass the exams. Also some of the questions in the Confuser have the incorrect answers so be aware (search the forums for more info).
If you read and understand the PPL material in the Pratt/Thom books you will breeze the exams.

hey I've just finished taking my air law exam the other day and i asked my instructor the same question about when you climb 27 ft you loose 1 heptapascal/millibar and he told me that the correct unit to use is 27 ft however the examiners use 30ft because its easier for people to calculate and so on. so i used 30ft in my exam and got the answer right but use the 27feet rule for anything else

Hi all I've been doing my ppl for 4 months now and today I passed Air Law first time with 96%.I started with the confuser but found quite a lot of mistakes according to my instructor, he recommended that i try www.pplquiz.co.uk I have found this site remarkably outstanding in my preperation in taking the exam.
I tried airquiz but i don't like the idea of having the results emailed to me, i like to know there and then.
Anyway enough rambling more reading.
