HELP FOR FINAL YEAR DEGREE STUDENT!

Kev5331 02/01/2008, 6:20 PM

Hi there, i am currently studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire and i am half way into my final year. Each student is allocated a final year project on which we have to dedicate 300 hours to.

Mine is to input a Cessna 152 into our Merlin flight simulator and validate it using analytical techniqes. The problem i have is finding all the information to enter into the simulator. All i have at the moment is the data available in the public domain, such as weights and sizes etc.

I still need technical information about the flight control areas, lift and drag co-efficients, aircraft inertias and basically all there is to know about the Cessna 152.

Is there anyone that can help me with attaining this information? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou

Might be able to get some info from the C150/152 club;

http://www.cessna150-152club.com/

You might also get somewhere by turning up at your local flying club with a tapemeasure to find the control surface areas etc.

Try the Pilot's Operating Handbook or maintenance manuals if you can get hold of them. Again, try a flying club (preferably somewhere with a maintenance centre (Elstree??); if it's not too far out of your way maybe Cranfield could help.

'That auction site' may also have a handbook for sale; I've seen a few from time to time.
