I always thought it would be good to fly to a private runway with no one around. Maybe pilot magazine could do a review on some private runways; condition, altitude etc...

Not quite sure what you mean, Tom, but just in case...

private airfields should never be visited without permission from the owner and a briefing.

I suspect, though that you are saying wouldn't it be nice to fly from a farm airstrip and can we review some. The problem with that is that all but a very few private strips (which we probably will review) shun publicity because they operate under Local Authority restrictions and don't have insurance cover for people who fly in and have an accident.

sorry, yes i ment unlicenced strips. e.g a converted farm field. Yer you can note the danger to people, but i just think it would be nice for a review for some. :)
